Mission Statement
Kojin-an is a rare and intimate place of Sōtō Zen practice, where people gather to cultivate wisdom, compassion, and community in the Sōtō Zen tradition. With deep reverence and gratitude for our founding teachers, Yoshie Akiba Sensei and Rev. Gengo Akiba, whose vision and lifelong devotion established and sustained this practice place, we are committed to preserving Kojin-an as a refuge for generations to come.
Through the generosity of our supporters, we can ensure that Kojin-an continues to welcome all who seek the Buddha Way, honor the legacy of the Akibas, and provide a stable and enduring home for practice well into the future.
